Italy? Yes please.

So I went to only 2 places in Italy and my time there was very brief. But not that brief that I couldn't click pics ;)

DOMODOSSOLA : Small town, great pizza.

Pizeriaaaaaaaaaaaa

No pizza is complete without a dash of olive oil and a sprinkling of parmezan ;)

Pizza with little lobsters

With tomato, basil and mozzerella

Aubergine and peppers

MILAN: Need I say more?

A food and fashion blogger in Milan. How cliche, but totally worth it!

Shopping in the fashion capital

Magic?

Next Stop: Zurich

Love it! Cafes on every street, all my favourite brands calling out to me and last but definitely NOT the least, Sprungli cafes! But more about Sprungli a little later.

In Zurich, I finally had the dish that I was always dying to try, the French clam preparation cooked in white wine. It was heavenly and surprisingly appetizing! Finished the whole thing all by myself (don't judge me!)

Finally :)
Spooning some into my bowl for efficient hogging :)

Finished and done with the shells!

Sprungli

Confiserie Sprüngli is a Swiss luxury confectionery manufacturer founded in 1836 and internationally known for its signature macarons called "Luxemburgerli".

In short, dessert heaven. By far, the best macarons I've ever had and also the best chocolate truffles. This place is my paradise.

Doorway to heaven

Dessert time!

From Left to Rght: Apricot macarons, Strawberry & Rhubarb macarons and Champagne macarons

Straight out of My Fair Lady! Truffles

Mt. Pilatus.

This may sound crazy but you can find good food ANYWHERE. Even at 6,982 feet I'm looking for good food and yeah, I found it! In a snug room with a huuuuge buffet, here's everything I tried!

Fresh, hot pork ribs at 7000 feet? Yess please!

Never too high to get healthy- salad with tuna.

Classic- Spaghetti Bolognese

Apple Strudel! Could I GET more German?

I hope this proves to you my passion for good food. Not that it's causing me any trouble or anything, I love it! Except that I had to stop everyone from eating so that I could get a good picture of the amazing food we were having. But hey, that's part of the job! More coming up peeps!

Switzerland.

The land of chocolate and cheese. Basically, heaven. Sorry I took so long to come up with this post but between jet lag and uploading photos and swearing at my wifi connection, I had barely any time. Having just got back from Switzerland, I'm twice my size and thrice as educated as I was  before I left.

Switzerland has to be one of the most fashionable places I've been to. People walking on the road dress like they're on Gossip Girl. Yeah, I could live with that ;) Because of the great difference in Indian weather and Swiss weather, the avenues of fashion are wider in Switzerland. Their 'Winter Collections' are actually bought instead of just being gazed at longingly in the Zara and Burberry shop windows. Boots, scarves and stockings are given a whole new meaning! It's a shame we can't dress like that here, but hey, one can always travel ;)

Swiss food. Chocolate had become a staple for me like rice in the south. Also, since Switzerland is inspired by French, German and Italian culture, the food in different parts of Switzerland is different. The Chinese food in Switzerland has to be the greatest disappointment ever. So don't go for it, trust me.

Since I've clicked SO many pictures and I just have SO much to say, I'm gonna do this post in parts.

LUCERNE.

Here I had my 1st Swiss Rosti, Lindt for breakfast, took a cruise on Lake Lucern, bought spray on red and blue hair colour and gave myself a really bad haircut.

Fantaaa

My first real Rosti

Digging in!

Coffee and croissant on Lake Lucerne

First brush with Swiss chocolate

Lots of chocolate for me to eat

ZERMATT

Here I had my first Swiss fondue, went to Matterhon and had the best chocolate cake I've ever had.

ZURICH

Here I had my favourite French clam dish, went to the Lindt cafe and window shopped, A LOT.

Most heavenly butter

Clovisses au vin blanc or clams in a white wine sauce

Let's begin

All done. *burrrrrrrrp*

As you can see, that was one hell of a foodie's paradise. All the pictures are taken by me inspite of my family telling me to stop shooting and concentrate on eating. It was tough, so I'm taking the credit. Hope this was fun.
